Program Description:
The Department of Forestry offers graduate programs leading to the M.F., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. The department consists of 26 faculty, 3 research associates, and 11 support personnel. Over 50 graduate students are enrolled in the five general specialty areas of: (1) forest biometrics, (2) forest biology, (3) forest management and economics, (4) natural resource recreation, and (5) forestry operations. Starting-level assistantships range from $16,200 to $17,184 per annum, and academic-year tuition is waived for students receiving assistantships. In addition, a few special competitive stipends worth up to $20,000 per year are also available.
