Program Description:

The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology offers programs leading to MS, PhD, and MD/PhD degrees, preparing students for successful careers as independent investigators in academia, government, biotechnology, and in teaching in academia, government, biotechnology, and teaching. The training is rigorous and provides access to state-of-the-art technology in diverse research areas. At the core of each degree program is an independent research project that is conducted under the supervision of a faculty member. Student research projects can be developed in various areas, including: Lipid signaling and metabolism, Lipidomics, Proteomics, and Genomics, Inflammation and Asthma, Tissue Repair and Remodeling, Cardiovascular and Atherosclerosis, Neuroscience, Cancer Research and Structural Biology
