Program Information
Degree Offered
M.S.- Engineering, Ph.D.- Engineering
Program Description:
The School of Engineering offers both the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. The graduate program consists of two major features: it provides educational and research experiences in the areas of manufacturing and business; offers a multidisciplinary program that is not discipline specific. In addition to conducting significant research, all graduate students enrolled in either the M.S. or Ph.D. program must complete coursework in the two core areas of manufacturing systems and business/management. These two areas reflect the long-standing goals of the School of Engineering towards industrial/manufacturing and business/management topics as evidenced by the existing undergraduate programs in Chemical, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The five areas for the graduate programs in engineering are chemical and life sciences (MS & PhD), electrical and computer (MS & PhD), mechanical (PhD only), computer science (PhD only), and engineering (MS & PhD).
