Program Description:
The School of Education at Virginia Commonwealth University offers over 40 programs at the Baccalaureate, Post-Baccalaureate, Master's, Post-Masters, and Doctoral level with over 1700 students, 58 faculty members, seven professional development schools and $6.5 million dollars in research funds. The school is a dynamic, student friendly place that values teaching, research and community service. The school is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and its programs are approved by the Virginia Department of Education. VCU's School of Education is a member of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education and the Holmes Partnership, a consortium of public schools and research based institutions with the twin goals of reforming teacher education and schooling.
