Program Description:

The School of Education offers a Master of Teaching in Health and Physical Education designed to provide advanced educational preparation for practitioners and students pursuing careers in school health and physical education, and exercise science. The program focuses on the exploration of theoretical foundations and the development and application of specialized professional knowledge, skills and abilities. The degree requires a minimum of 33 graduate credits including directed research or thesis. Students in the Master of Science in Physical Education are offered one of two options: Teacher Education or Exercise Science. Applicants planning to enter the teaching profession should hold a valid teaching endorsement.
