Program Description:
The Department of Urban Studies and Planning in the College of Humanities and Sciences offers a Master of Urban and Regional Planning. The program is accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board and provides professional grounding in the theory and methodologies of planning through a curriculum that balances classroom and field experience. Students may choose a broad program in comprehensive planning or elect one of several concentrations including: urban revitalization and historic preservation, housing and neighborhood planning, economic development, physical planning and environmental planning. Students may also opt to develop an individualized program, focusing on one or more self-defined topics.
