Program Description:
Earning a Master's degree, pre- or a post-master's or certificate in biology from Villanova is an enriching experience, whether you plan to use your degree as a stepping stone to further graduate or professional study, a launching pad to a career in the biological sciences or as a way to enhance your existing career with new skill sets. Regardless of your focus, the program will enhance your quantitative, analytical, and written and oral communication skills. As a graduate student here, you will work in our recently remodeled and expanded research facility, fully outfitted with electron microscopes, DNA sequencers, and computing and visualization resources.
Two master's degrees are available at Villanova: a Master of Science (with thesis) and a Master of Arts (culminating in a comprehensive exam). In addition, two Certificate programs, the Certificate and Advanced Certificate of Graduate Study in Biology, are available. In addition, pre- and post-master's certificate programs are available in both Cell, Molecular and Development Biology, and Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology.
