Ph.D.
Format: Campus
Program Description:
The molecular biophysics program at Vanderbilt is an interdisciplinary training program that offers research opportunities in a very wide range of subject areas. The program is administered by an advisory committee composed of preceptors from the seven participating departments: Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Molecular Physiology and Biophysics, Pathology, Pharmacology, and Physics. Students work toward a Ph.D. either in one of these seven departments or by developing their own program of individual studies in molecular biophysics. Although students are initially accepted into the program through one of the participating departments or through the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program, transfer among participating departmental programs is possible.
