Program Description:

Peabody College of Vanderbilt University offers an innovative three-year doctoral (Ed.D.) program for working professionals in school administration and higher education leadership. This professional course of study will enhance intellectual understanding, deepen leadership capacities, and position participants for elevated organizational responsibility and expanded community or civic influence. The Ed.D. program enables practicing professionals to gain a greater understanding of human learning; educational institutions; interaction of the larger society with educational, financial, and governmental arrangements; and means by which research can be conducted and successfully applied. Higher Education Leadership and Policy equips practitioners with theoretical and research-based perspectives facilitating effective operation of institutions and organizations such as colleges, universities, government agencies, professional associations, and consulting companies.
