Program Description:
The Gerontology Certification Program is an interdepartmental program administered by the Department of Family and Human Development in the College of Family Life to help prepare students professionally for careers involving the elderly. The program is available to any USU student working on a degree who meets the criteria for admission. The Gerontology Certificate is awarded upon completion of certification requirements.Students must complete the certification requirements within two years following graduation. The certificate may be useful in obtaining employment in agencies which administer programs for the aging population.
