Program Description:

The University of Wyoming Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing and the Division of Outreach Credit Programs offer a master of science degree in nursing with a nurse educator option in the online format, which does not require any on-campus time.The graduate prepared nurse educator is able to teach in undergraduate nursing education programs and in health care continuing education settings. In this advanced practice role, the nurse educator demonstrates leadership in the implementation and evaluation of educational programs in rural settings. This includes assessment of learning needs of students, planning educational curricula, implementing educational methodologies, and evaluating both student learning and program outcomes.
