Program Description:

The Information and Communicatins Technology program is designed to enhance the careers of professionals working in technological areas related to information and communication. The program consists of a 15 credit core and an emphasis area with a minimum of 15 credits. In consultation with a faculty adviser, students develop an individualized program emphasis based on the core coursework. The emphasis areas are: Information Technology Management, Learning Technologies, Visual Communication Technology and e-Commerce.

Accreditation:

The Graduate School at UW-Stout is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools (NCA) to offer programs at the master's and education specialist levels.

International Student Requirements:

English Competency: Minimum required scores on the following are required: an IELTS score of 6.5, or TOEFL: 70 (iBT) 523 (paper). TOEFL scores under 79 [iBT (composite)], 550 (paper-based) will be required to take at least one advanced level language course through UW-Stout’s ESL program. Students admitted to the program whose English language skills are subsequently judged to be less than sufficient may be required to complete additional language preparation. Test scores should be sent directly to UW-Stout (school code #1740) Also required: Official copies of all post-secondary transcripts (translated into English), including proof of baccalaureate and/or highest earned degree; Undergraduae GPA of at least 3.0 (4.0 scale); Evidence of sufficient financial resources to complete a degree program; Non-refundable application fee payable to UW-Stout in U.S. funds.
