Program Description:

Do you like trying to apply Psychology to figure out why things happen?
Do you enjoy the process of discovery through the gathering of new information?
Do you want to apply Psychology to the real world, but aren't interested in a clinical career?

If you answered "Yes!" to these questions, UW-Stout's Masterof Science degree in Applied Psychology may be right for you.

This program:
1) Offers a hands-on experience in solving real-world problems using psychological theories, principles and research methods.
2) Takes a practical approach to answering problems and gives its students the tools necessary to succeed immediately upon graduation.
3) Allows students to focus in the following concentrations: Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, and/or Evaluation Research

Graduates are prepared to be agents and facilitators of change.

International Student Requirements:

•Minimum acceptable TOEFL iBT = 70. Applicants with TOEFL scores from 70 to 78 [iBT (composite)], 550 (paper-based) will be required to take at least one advanced level language course through UW-Stout's ESL program. Test scores should be sent directly to UW-Stout (school code #1740); (3) Official copies of all post-secondary transcripts (translated into English), including proof of baccalaureate and/or highest earned degree; (4) Undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; (5) specific program requirements. Contact program directors for information; (6) Documented evidence of sufficient financial resources to complete a degree program; (7) the enclosed application form along with a non-refundable application fee payable to UW-Stout in U.S. funds.
