Program Description:
The graduate programs in Biological Sciences involve coursework and research leading to the Master of Science degree or the Ph.D. degree. Both degree programs are administered by the departmental Director of Graduate Studies; and a Graduate Committee composed of faculty and graduate student representatives from within the Department. The diverse interests of the faculty provide opportunities for graduate research in a variety of subdisciplines including cellular and molecular biology, microbiology, physiology and neurobiology, animal behavior, evolutionary biology, population and community ecology, conservation biology, systematics, plant morphology and physiology, limnology, and biogeochemistry.
