The Materials Science Program provides excellent opportunities for interdisciplinary research through its ~60 faculty leading internationally-acclaimed research programs from a broad diversity of departments throughout the UW-Madison campus. Represented in the MSP are virtually all of the engineering departments, and the departments of chemistry, physics, geology, food science, surgery, textiles, pharmacology, and soil science.
