Program Description:
For the Masters in Education degree in reading education, applicants must normally have an undergraduate degree and a teaching certificate. A masters degree in reading education can be achieved by completing a thirty-six (36) semester hour program. The program consists of 9 hours in professional studies, 3 hours in research, 15 hours in reading education content courses, and 9 hours of approved electives.

All teacher education programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
Eligibility Requirements:
The Miller Analogies Test (scores received after October 2004) are acceptable. Please contact the Graduate School for more information.
