Program Description:
. The areas of research training are in the fundamental aspects of drug disposition, pharmacokinetics, drug delivery and drug action. Drug disposition includes the study of drugabsorption, distribution and elimination. Pharmacokinetics is the study of the time course of these processes and the time course of pharmacological effects. Drug delivery includes targeting of drugs to tissues or cells to improve the therapeutic effects. These areas of interdisciplinary research have a wide range of applications, particularly in pharmacological and biological characterization of new drug molecules in developing pharmaceuticals.
