Program Description:
The course does not provide professional training for any applied psychology profession but will help prepare students who intend pursuing professional training in psychology.
Course modules include: developmental disorders, the history of abnormal psychology, adult affective disorders, adult psychotic disorders, personality disorders, coping with physical illness, eating disorders, somatoform disorders, health promotion theory and practice, and substance misuse. Students will also be expected to attend a module in research skills and complete a dissertation.
