Program Information
Degree Offered
M.S.-Clinical Research;
MPH-Research in Practice Track;
MPH-Health Policy, Law, and Ethics Track
Format: Campus
Program Description:
The MS in Clinical Research degree requires a 31 credit curriculum. The MPH degree offers two areas of specialization (Research in Practice and Health Policy, Law, and Ethics), and requires students to complete a 42 credit curriculum. Both degrees include a final project, most commonly a publishable thesis or a practicum with a local health organization, but other options such as a grant proposal or project related to a student's current work (for those in mid-career) are also possible. The project must be defended before Department faculty. Core coursework is completed in the fall semester. The spring is devoted to specialized coursework in a student's chosen track and the completion of the thesis or project. While the M.S. curriculum may be completed in one school year, the MPH program requires 2 full-time years. Part-time options are available for both programs. Please contact the Program Coordinator for more information about either program.
