Program Description:
The Juris Doctor (J.D.) is the basic degree required for entrance into the legal profession. You obtain this degree by completing 86 semester hours during six semesters of residence, including certain required courses and a writing requirement, and maintaining a 2.0 grade point average. To receive credit for a semester in residence, you must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours of credit toward the J.D. and must pass nine semester hours.
