Program Description:

The Graduate Counseling Program is designed to prepare students with the professional knowledge and skills they need to act as facilitators of change and growth for individuals, groups, and organizations. Counseling Program graduates receive a Master of Science degree and are prepared to work as professional counselors in a variety of settings. Students who complete the School Counseling track, a 51 credit hour program, are eligible to be licensed to practice as school counselors in the state of Vermont. Students who graduate from the Mental Health track, a 60 credit hour program, are able to apply for licensure as mental health counselors after completing additional post-degree requirements. You may choose the Dual option, both school and mental health, that requires 69 credit hours. Application deadline if February 1 for fall admission.
