Program Description:

The Department of Management and the Department of Marketing welcome international students to take part in Master’s Degree Programme in International Business (IB-programme). The programme aims at helping students to increase their knowledge about the operational complexities of international trading, the implications of cross border cooperation, how firms adjust to the diversity and complexities of laws, contracts, business practices and cultures in different countries, and to gather business intelligence for transnational operations. The programme also aims to increase students’ ability to understand and analyse the behaviour of multinational firms regarding foreign operation mode choices in the internationalisation process, entry strategies, creating and managing business networks, transferring knowledge and managing human resources across borders.

Master’s Degree Programme in International Business is a full time degree programme which leads to Master’s degree [Master of Science (Economics and Business Administration)]. The programme is divided into two parts, the first of which is also open for exchange and visiting students. The whole programme comprises a Master’s degree programme of 120 ECTS credits and can be completed in two years.

The initial studies of the programme (25 ECTS) take place during the autumn semester, from September to December. The advanced-level studies (25 ECTS) are held partly in the spring semester, from January to May and partly in the autumn semester.
