Program Description:

The importance of advancing the knowledge base for cancer nursing practice and improving the care of individuals with cancer or those at risk for cancer, can not be overstated. To successfully impact cancer risk and screening and to improve the quality of life for those experiencing cancer requires significant advances in behavioral, psychosocial and supportive care research. As a result, there is a critical need for more cancer nurses who strive to become both clinicians doctoral program directed at the development of cancer nurse researchers who will be leaders in their field.
