Program Description:

The mission of the Department of Exercise and Sport Science is to enhance health and quality of life through the promotion of participation in regular physical activity. With a focus on efficiency of movement, the Department seeks to enhance sport performance of elite athletes while at the same time providing avenues for all segments of the populations to understand, value, and pursue a healthy lifestyle. This mission may berealized through the various research and writing activities, undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities, and clinical, community, and professional service opportunities conducted by the faculty, students, and staff.
