Program Description:

The Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) at the University of Utah is a combined M.D./Ph.D. program designed to provide an outstanding education for students who want to develop skills combining clinical methodology and biomedical research. It is an excellent curriculum for individuals who wish to pursue careers in a university, medical school or research institute setting. Due to their unique combination of clinical and academic knowledge, M.D/Ph.D.'s are especially well prepared for the most selective residencies, fellowships and grant programs spanning the public and private sector.
