Program Description:

The programme has been designed to provide postgraduate education and training in the concepts and methods within nanotechnology including microfabrication and nanoscale engineering and their intelligent application to problems within industry and academic research. Research in such areas as higher quality electronic materials, nanoparticles, nanostructures, nanotubes, tissue engineering, biosensor miniaturisation, improved composites, underpins the main postgraduate themes in nanotechnology.
The team for this programme has expertise in internationally-relevant research in nanotechnology and material science and has experience in the development of cutting-edge technologies and their applications in modern industrial practice.
Part-time students who are in full-time employment will be able to gain credit for work-based activity in the work-based learning modules that are a feature of the programme.
