Program Information

Degree Offered

Doctor of Psychology (PsyD), Clinical Specialization

Format: Campus

Program Description:

The PsyD, Clinical Specialization program is designed to prepare students who wish to sit for licensure as clinical psychologists. Students will acquire the knowledge and skills required for mental health practitioners, including assessment, intervention, research and evaluation, diversity, management and supervision, and consultation and education.

Our program includes rigorous theoretical and clinical study. We have an on-site community counseling center where students may practice their psychotherapy skills.

We also offer a bachelor’s-to-doctorate program to serve students who identify clinical practice as their calling early in their academic careers.

The quality of our faculty is unmatched in the Colorado Springs area – 100 percent of our faculty members have doctorate degrees and are practicing in the field. Students benefit from the real-world experience that our professors bring to the classroom.

Accreditation:

University of the Rockies is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, a commission of the North Central Association (www.ncahlc.org).

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education with a GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students entering with a GPA of 2.0 to 2.99 will be placed on first-term academic probation.
