Program Description:
The College of Nursing at the University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB) is pleased to offer the Nursing Administration Certificate program. This nine credit hour, three course program can be taken as part of the Master of Science in Nursing-Nursing Administration degree plan or separately.
The nursing administration certificate was developed to prepare nurses for nursing administration and leadership in traditional and non-traditional health care settings to meet the needs of a changing health care system. It has been developed to meet professional standards and guidelines of the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC) and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).

Accreditation:
UT Brownsville is accredited by the Southern Associate of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The Master of Science in Nursing Program is a member of the National League for Nursing Council of Baccalaureate and Higher Degree Programs in Nursing. The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) is the entity within the National League for Nursing that is responsible for the accreditation of nursing education schools and programs. The Master of Science in Nursing is accredited by the NLNAC.
