Program Description:

The Oncology Nursing advanced practice graduates participate in the care of individuals across the lifespan, and their families, who have, or are at risk for cancer. The various dimensions of prevention, supportive care, rehabilitation, and survivorship are studied with a holistic view. Courses concentrate on epidemiology, diagnostic evaluation, classification, staging and various treatment modalities associated with malignancies. Physiological, psychosocial and cultural/behavioral elements of the cancer experience are incorporated using an eclectic framework.
