Program Description:

Cell and Molecular Biology is an interdisciplinary graduate program that offers Ph.D. training to students interested in doing research in any area of cellular or molecular biology. This dynamic program is centered in the new Molecular Biology Building and currently includes approximately 200 students and over 100 faculty from a wide variety of academic departments. Although all of our students graduate with a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology, each student selects one of six tracks that provide more specialized training: Bioinformatics and Computational Biology; Cell and Developmental Biology; Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery; Molecular Genetics; Neurobiology; Structural Biology.
