Program Description:
The Department of Art and Art History offers two distinct graduate degree tracks, the Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) and the Masters of Arts (M.A.). Both degrees offer distinctly different programs of study and students should download and carefully read over the current M.F.A. and M.A. application packets for complete details and guidelines.
The MFA is a terminal degree in art requiring a minimum of 70 hours of study at the graduate level. The MA in Art is focused on art history and requires a minimum of 36 hours of graduate study. Prospective art graduate students should contact the graduate art advisor after reading over the application packet should additional information or clarification be needed regarding graduate policies or application procedures.
