Program Description:

Starting this summer, teachers may begin earning the new Texas Master Reading Certificate. Teachers already holding the Reading Specialist Certificate need only successfully complete the non-credit Master Reading Teacher Institute (Option 1). All others must successfully complete the three required graduate level reading courses and pass the Master Reading Teacher Exam (Option 2). Those holding the Master Reading Certificate who work in a Texas Education Agency T.E.A. designated high-need school will be eligible for an annual $5,000.00 stipend.
