The Department offers excellent opportunities and facilities for postgraduate training and research in human geography. An applied perspective underlies much of the Department's research activity. Recent research toics have included urban problems and policy, rural housing, crime and policing, environmental mapping, Third World agriculture and quality of llife studies.
