Upon completion of this program graduates will be able to:* demonstrate proficiency in research and scientific methodology including research planning and implementation, interpretation, analysis and evaluation of research data, and the presentation and communication of research findings* demonstrate awareness of the philosophy and role of science together with an understanding of the ethical and social responsibilities of a practising scientist or technologist* apply the skills gained in the program to their specialist area with a high degree of proficiency
