Program Description:

The major degree offered by the department is the Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Pharmacology and Toxicology. Under exceptional circumstances, the Master of Science degree may be awarded. Emphasis of the program is to provide excellence and state-of-the-art training and education in (1) the molecular mechanisms of diseases and the development of rational therapeutic approaches to human health, and (2) the molecular mechanisms by which chemical substances perturb living systems.
