Program Description:

USC is a leader in biomedical and biological research. The University is pleased to offer graduate Programs in Biomedical and Biological Sciences (PIBBS). The PIBBS mission is to attract exceptional students and provide a rigorous education tailored to the needs and ambitions of each individual. Upon completion of the Ph.D. degree, PIBBS students will be equipped to excel as internationally competitive research scientists.PIBBS serves as an entryway into 16 Ph.D. programs in biomedical and biological sciences at USC. Students accepted into this program carry out several laboratory rotations during their first year of study, choosing from more than 100 USC laboratories which are currently conducting research in a diverse array of biomedical and biological disciplines.
