Program Description:
A pioneer in the development of an independent curriculum in international affairs, the School of International Relations offers the student a wide range of approaches to the study of the field. Students complete both required core courses and courses in their chosen fields of specialty to be chosen from the following: international political economy, international politics and security, and United States foreign policy. Specialty fields may be designed for M.A. students. Ph.D. students may take one field outside the School of International Relations. In addition to the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees, the School of International Relations offers jointly with the departments of Economics and Political Science a graduate program in political economy and public policy.
