Program Description:

The Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MAT-TESOL) is an innovative degree that merges the best of graduate-level TESOL training with the strong foundation of the Rossier School of Education's renowned teacher preparation program.

The MAT-TESOL will prepare students to enter the teaching profession and pursue careers as English language teaching specialists in a variety of settings and educational levels. The curriculum is designed to prepare domestic and international candidates planning to work with children, youth, or adults, either in the U.S. or abroad.

The MAT-TESOL is offered in both on-campus and online delivery formats. Students can complete the degree in just over one year of full-time study.
