Program Description:
The Neurobiology PhD Program is geared towards students interested in pursuing research focusing on molecular, cellular, and systems analyses of the nervous system. Faculty maintain cutting-edge research programs that encompass the following areas:
*Behavior, Learning and Memory
*Cell Biology and Physiology of Neuronal Signaling
*Development, Disease and Repair
*Sensory Processing and Sensori-Motor Integration
*Systems Neuroscience: Functional Circuitry
The Program is housed in the Neurobiology Section of the Department of Biological Sciences on the University Park Campus of USC. Graduate students in the Program have multiple opportunities to interact with colleagues in other sections and departments, including Molecular and Computational Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, the inter-departmental Neuroscience Graduate Program, and various departments in the Schools of Engineering and Medicine.

Eligibility Requirements:
The USC Graduate School requires that the sum of the Verbal and Quantitative scores on the GRE be a minimum of 1000. We do not require a GRE Subject Test. Applicants with undergraduate grade point averages below 3.0 will be considered only under unusual circumstances including evidence of recent improvement or clearly outstanding potential as a researcher.

If you were graded on a scale other than 4.0 (with 4.0 equal to an "A"), please indicate the average grade AND indicate the scale (for example, 8.5/10).
