Program Description:

These programs offer an interdisciplinary approach to the study of East Asia, and focuses largely on the histories, politics, economies, and social issues concerning China, Japan and Korea, while also providing opportunities to study the rich cultural traditions of East Asia including its artistic, literary, and religious heritage. The program requires basic competence in the Chinese, Japanese or Korean languages before the degree is awarded.
