Entry-level professional program (D.P.T.)Students with baccalaureate degrees in fields other than physical therapy may apply for admission to this three-year academic and clinical program leading to the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. This course of study prepares students to practice physical therapy and take state licensureexaminations. (The program is accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association.)Advanced standing (D.P.T.)Master clinicians in physical therapy with an M.P.T., M.S. in Physical Therapy or a similar degree may apply for admission to this program leading to a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Applicants also must be licensed physical therapists in California, have extensive clinical experience andpreferably hold a certificate of clinical specialization. This course of study is for clinicians interested in furthering their career options and preparing for faculty appointments to teach clinical management courses. Interview required prior to application process.
