Program Description:
Offered by the Department of Preventive Medicine, the graduate programs in biostatistics and epidemiology train students in applied statistics so that they can function not only as members of interdisciplinary health research teams, but also as liaisons between researchers and statisticians in health agencies. Graduates are able to develop plans for the collection and processing of data, apply statistical techniques for the evaluation of this data and communicate the findings to colleagues.
