This program emphasizes the history of art from the Middle Ages to the present. The focus of the program is on intellectual history and art historiography. The program is supplemented by practical internships in area galleries and museums.

Eligibility Requirements:

Methods in Art History (research); Critical studies seminars; Thesis writing for Art History (if on thesis track); Museum internship is optional. Completion of thesis if such option is chosen. Advanced course work permitted in lieu of the Thesis.
