Program Description:
USF was the first university in the United States to offer graduate programs in applied anthropology. The Anthropology Department now has 17 full-time faculty members. There are 3 archaeologists at the Tampa campus, 2 more at the Sarasota campus, plus several other faculty with ties to archaeology in other departments (e.g. History, Classics, Geography, Geology). The principal research interests of the Tampa archaeology faculty are the Southeastern United States (historic and prehistoric), Mediterranean/European prehistory, and archaeological science. Graduate assistantships available. Fieldschools offered every summer.Application Deadlines are as follows: Fall: January 15;Spring: No Spring Admissions; and Summer: No Summer Admissions
