Program Description:

For the Ph.D. in mathematics, dissertation research may be pursued in algebra, analysis, appliedmathematics, discrete mathematics, geometry, logic and foundations, number theory, and topology. With themaster's program, a number of options are available. These include interdisciplinary programs involvingother departments, degree programs in applied mathematics, and the more traditional master's programsleading to teaching or the Ph.D.
