MA- Intercultural Communication
Format: Campus
Program Description:
Every workplace is in great need of individuals with an open-minded, mature approach to their work and the ability to communicate across a wide range of cultures, whether internationally or within multicultural communities.
British companies are also losing business because of their lack of international development strategies; people who can understand others easily and see things from different and multiple perspectives have a valuable contribution to make in improving this.
The course is relevant to practitioners as well as those wishing to pursue careers in international management and relations, business community and international development; it is also of interest to those who wish to become more effective communicators in other professions and/or cultural consultants.
This course will enable you to make the relevant links between language, culture, communication and the world of work. It relates theories of Intercultural Communication to practice and vice-versa. It offers you the opportunity to link academic study to the workplace. It will also contain a substantial reflective element, and you can also link your dissertation to a work-based placement or project.
