M.S. in Web Science
Program Description:
The M.S. in Web Science provides the graduate student with the knowledge, skills and training required in software development, with a strong focus on Internet software development and applications. Students become conversant in dynamic web page development, software agents, information retrieval, web services, digital libraries and peer-to-peer applications. This Master's program offers an Emphasis in Entrepreneurship, where MSWS students can choose to take product development and entrepreneurial courses alongside MBA students. Students may also be eligible for the Practicum Option, where graduate students work at Silicon Valley industry leaders earning $20 to $40 an hour, while in full-time graduate studies. Team development of major software for an outside client caps the program. The program draws both traditional graduate students, as well as students who choose to work full or part-time outside of studies.
