Master of Science in Technical Entrepreneurship and Management

Program Description:

The University of Rochester's Master of Science in Technical Entrepreneurship and Management (TEAM) program, offered with the support of the Hajim School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the Simon Graduate School of Business and the Center for Entrepreneurship, offers students the opportunity to immerse themselves in a technical concentration of their choice while receiving a strong foundation in business management, similar to core courses in an MBA program. Students choose from one of the following technical concentrations: optics, energy and the environment, computer science, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, materials science, or mechanical engineering. Faculty and successful entrepreneurs, acting as executive coaches, guide students through evaluating the market opportunity of a patented technology from the university's Office of Tech Transfer and writing a business plan.
