Program Description:

Innovative programmes for those wishing to work in the global securities and investment industry, combining theory with practical sessions in dealing rooms with 62 Reuters terminals plus Bloomberg and Bridge Telerate terminals. The Centre is seeking to award several Doctoral studentships starting in October 2007 and 2008 and would like to receive proposals in various areas of finance including Asset Pricing, Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Credit Risk, Equity and Futures Markets, Football Finance, Hedge Funds, Hedging Strategies, High Frequency Econometrics, Historical Finance, Market Microstructure, Pension Schemes, Portfolio Management and Performance Assessment, Quantitative Finance. Students have the opportunity to study professional qualifications alongside their masters degrees including ICMA International Fixed Income and Derivatives (IFID), CFA Level 1, PRM Certification, FINRA Compliance and Regulation Diploma.
