MSc Environmental Consultancy

Format: Campus

Program Description:

The strengths of this programme lie in the expertise that Plymouth has in areas such as ecological impact assessment, species and habitat restoration, evaluation of contaminated environments, environmental law, geographical information systems, waste management and marine sciences.

Accreditation:

The programme builds on one of the most longstanding and most successful Environmental Science courses in Western Europe. The award has received considerable support and recognition from employers and professional bodies (e.g. Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM), Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA)); you will be advised on which Institutes would be suitable for your needs and you will also be working towards achieving chartered environmentalist status through your masters.

Eligibility Requirements:

You will normally be a graduate with an upper second class degree or higher from an environmental, geographical, chemistry, marine, geology or biological subject discipline who is looking for vocational training. Equally you could be a graduate from related disciplines who has worked within the environmental sector and is looking to gain a specialist qualification. Applicants without recent formal qualifications may be acceptable.

International Student Requirements:

Applicants with overseas qualifications can check their comparability with the UK equivalent through NARIC, who provide an advisory service. For further advice on the appropriateness of overseas qualification and proficiency in the use of English, please contact our International Office. The minimum IELTS score for acceptable English proficiency for entry is normally 6.5.
